Northern Human Services provides programming, services and support to individuals affected by mental illness, substance use disorders, developmental disabilities and related disorders.
Whether it’s through person-centered mental health care, individualized service plans for people living with a developmental disability, substance use treatment and recovery, or family-centered early supports and services, our goal is to help people live a meaningful life in their community.
Mental & Behavioral Health
Our Behavioral health services help people improve the quality of their lives. Using a person-centered approach, our dedicated team of professionals work with community members of all ages and conditions. We provide a variety of programs and services designed to assist people in improving the quality of, and add meaning to, their lives.

Specially-trained professionals are available to help you resolve a mental health crisis, provide referrals to one of our community mental health centers, or dispatch our Mobile Crisis Response team directly to you.

Youth Services
We provide behavioral health services for parents and their children from birth through young adults services. Our infant and early childhood mental health program serves families in Coos County. Services for children older than seven are available across our community mental health centers including care coordination, individual and family therapy.

Our Community Mental Health Centers across the North Country provide services for individuals who experience severe and persistent mental illness, group and individual therapy and recovery services. We deliver personalized, evidence-based behavioral health care designed to build resilience, foster recovery, and support your mental well-being every step of the way.

All people, regardless of disability, deserve the opportunity to be full members of their community where they can live, learn, work, volunteer, socialize and recreate through all stages of life. Community integration is essential for overall health and well being for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and related disorders.
Family-Centered Early Supports and Services Birth-3
Family Centered Early Supports & Services are available to families and children from birth to 3 who may be experiencing a developmental delay or disability, or are at risk of becoming delayed due to environmental or medical factors and/or have an established condition. Anyone may make a referral and there is no cost to participate.

Youth Services Ages 3-22
Services for children between the ages of 3 and 22 are primarily provided through local school districts. Northern Human Services also provide family support services for children of all ages, transition services for teens and young adults between the ages of 14 and 22, and in-home supports for individuals and their families who are currently enrolled in school and experience significant medical and behavioral needs.

We strive to help those we serve to develop lasting relationships with people in their community. Fostering community relationships is essential to full inclusion.
